Sooooo... I am just finishing my laundry and packing my bags (insert sad sigh here)... BUT, we are going out on tour with one of my favorite artists, Timbaland.
The dude is literally a monster in the studio... does anyone remember the Aaliyah song 'Are You That Somebody' it is probably one of the siiickest beats ever! Check it:
I just read the press releases for the tour and it is going to be insane... special guests all over the tour... special videos and light shows... it is going to be an education.
PLUS... to my knowledge, his drummer is Nisan Stewart... he is a full grown man and a problem! Hahaha. He has crazy chops... he is on a really great video called 'Kick, Snare, Hat' and he rips all over the DVD! I can't wait to watch him and try to soak up his performances!
I am going to try and write on here every night of the tour and keep you up to date on everything that is happening... the good, the bad, the ugly... get ready for a lot of ugly... Hahaha.

Nisan Stewart is soo siiick in that video! Can't wait to see the Timberland tour it's gonna be siick! You guys are gonna be ridiculously awesome (once again =D)!!! You're an amazing drummer! I can't for the 19th!!!!

ReplyDeleteSide note: Did you notice how small was Timbaland in that video!? And the baby-like sounds!? Those always freaked me out a little.

MAN!!! I miss Aaliyah so much! I remember when MTV News reported about her plane crash, so sad. Such an amazing artist taken away too soon. But, that song was amazing. I think that is where I got "dirty south" from and now say it over and over. Thanks for that trip down memory lane.
ReplyDeleteAnd Nisan Stewart is amazing. I mean, where would Timbaland be without a good dummer? Timbaland knows how to throw down the mixer and get the beats going, but on tour he has to have his drummer, his backbone.
Timbaland tour is going to be amazing. I wish I could make it out to a show, cause I know its going to be over-the-top and down right dirty. I am glad that you will be blogging about it. It will be like I am there every night, from a first hand perspective.

so...i'm living this tour through you Noyes...make me proud on your reporting skills. wish i could be there to see you guys, but living smack dab in the middle of the country makes it kinda difficult to get to east or west coast dates. also gotta factor class into all of this...gotta get that degree so i can be making the big bucks!!
